Dalton pleads not guilty to attempted murder

Tommy Dalton entered a plea of not guilty yesterday when he was arraigned in Common Pleas Court before Judge Richard Walton.
Dalton’s bond was set at $200,000 cash and a pretrial date was set for May 23. Dalton is now being represented by Huntington, W.Va. attorney J. Roger Smith.
On Tuesday, the county’s grand jury indicted Dalton on charges of attempt to commit murder, first-degree felony, firearm specification; and felonious assault, second-degree felony, firearm specification.
Dalton was arrested at his home earlier this month by Ironton Police officers for allegedly shooting his wife in the back with a 12 gauge shotgun during a domestic dispute. The shooting occurred at the Dalton’s home, located at 2016 S. Ninth St.
