Bill Cade

April 12, 1940-May 16, 2001

DAYTON – Charles William "Bill" Cade, 61, of Dayton, formerly of Coal Grove, died Wednesday at his home.

He was a salesman at Castrucci Auto Mall and was a 1959 graduate of Coal Grove High School.

The Ironton native was born April 12, 1940, the son of Mavis Cade of Ironton; and the late Charles Cade.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Kimberley Cade of Dayton, Tom and Darla Cade, all of Huber Heights, Ted Cade and fiancee Cindra of Beavercreek, and their mother, Anna M. Durdines of Huber Heights; Patrick Cade and Paul Cade, of Huber Heights, and their mother, Barbara Spicer of Huber Heights; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Wendell Stafford of Ironton, Barbara and Howard Bailey of Russell, Ky., Linda and Eugene Hughes of Haverhill and Judy Gail and Freeman Litteral of South Charleston, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Denver and Judy Cade of Ironton; one half-sister and her husband, Cindy and Sam Evans of Ironton; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Abigail, Hannah, Treven and Mollie; and his fiancee, Kathy Burns.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Marker and Heller Funeral Home in Huber Heights.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Valley FWB (Fox Hollow Church), with Pastor George Cade officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Ethel Boyd

March 30, 1914-May 17, 2001

COAL GROVE – Ethel M. Boyd, 87, of Coal Grove died Thursday at her home after an extended illness.

The Ironton native was born March 30, 1914, the daughter of the late Harry and Debbie Pemberton Storms.

She was the wife of the late James William Boyd.

She was a housewife and a member of Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church of Coal Grove.

She also was preceded in death by one son, William George Boyd; one daughter, Joretta Hoskins; one sister; and three brothers.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John D. and Mary Boyd of Ironton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Pierce officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Bessie Chatfield

July 13, 1928-May 17, 2001

Bessie A. Chatfield, 72, of Ironton died Thursday at a local health care center.

The Lawrence County native was born July 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Asa and Eva Bowman.

She was the wife of William "Bill" Chatfield, who survives.

She was a housewife and a member of Royersville Missionary Baptist Church.

She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Doolin; and three brothers, Richard Bowman, Bill Bowman and Melvin Bowman.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one step daughter, Brenda Collins of Kentucky; one brother, Joe Bowman of Ironton; one sister, Helen Bowles of Kelley’s Bridge; and two step granddaughters.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Lillian Johnson

PROCTORVILLE – Lillian E. Johnson, 75, of Proctorville died Thursday at her home.

Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.
