Harley V. McClure

Dec. 23, 1933 – May 24, 2001

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Harley V. McClure of Sterling Heights died Thursday at his home.

The Burlington, Ohio, native was born Dec. 23, 1933, the son of the late James C. and Myrtle McClure.

He was the husband of Eleanor McClure, who survives.

He was a former employee at Carlyle Tile in Ironton, Ohio, and retired from Ryerson Steel Company in Detroit. He was a member of the Teamster Union Local No. 299 and the Memorial Baptist Church in Sterling Heights.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Ave., Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Herb Harbaugh officiating.

Burial will be in Meade Cemetery in Meade.

Visiting hours will be 3-9 p.m. Monday and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

Allene Clark

GRAYSON, Ky. – Allene Elizabeth Clark, 91, of Grayson, Ky., died Friday at her home.

The Carter County native was the daughter of the late John W. and Minnie Elizabeth Hensley Keffer.

She was the wife of the late H.C. "Joe" Clark.

She was a retired school teacher with the Carter County school system, retiring in 1975 with 28 years of service. She was a member of Grayson Freewill Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Retired Teacher’s Association of Carter County.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, with Mike Harper officiating.

Burial will be in Clark Family Cemetery in Grayson.

Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, Ky. 41101.

 

Harold Monroe

LEBANON, Tenn. – There will be a funeral for Harold Monroe, 54, formerly of Ironton, on Wednesday, May 30.

Monroe, son of the late Lucille and Bill Monroe of Ironton, was a 1966 graduate of Ironton High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at J.C. Hellums Funeral Home, 107 Stokes Ave., Lebanon, Tenn., 37087.
