Matt Johnson, a senior-to-be at Ironton High School, is timed in the 60-yard dash during the Atlanta Braves’ workout at IHS Saturday. Johnson was one of many young men between the ages of 16 and 22 attending the workout. The camp was conducted by Nick Hostetler, a scout in the Braves’ organization and local scout Jeff Davenport. Hostetler says the Braves conduct about two camps in each state annually. Individuals attending the camp were scored in hitting, fielding, pitching and running.
