Mark down July 27 for Mark.
That’s the date when former Ironton Fighting Tigers All-Ohio quarterback and safety Mark Snyder will be recognized with a special dinner in his honor.
Also on hand will be members of the Ironton football team who will meet and talk with fans.
The dinner will be at 7 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Tanks Memorial Stadium. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Bob Clyse Oldsmobile, Bob Linn Sporting Goods, and any of the high school coaches.
Snyder is currently an assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes. His duties include coaching linebackers and recruiting Southeastern Ohio.
Ohio State head coach Jim Tressell is expected to attend if his schedule permits.
Ironton’s Redgie Arden will be a freshman linebacker this fall at Ohio State.
