A dental records check confirmed the identity of the dead woman is that of Alesha Frazee, whose last known address was the 800 block of Harvard Place in Portsmouth, Donini said.

Frazee, formerly of South Shore, Ky., is believed to have been murdered, her body wrapped in plastic and dumped along Old Gallia Pike near Franklin Furnace, the sheriff said.

Frazee was last seen in the vicinity of Ninth and Waller streets in Portsmouth on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27-28. She was 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighed 120 pounds, with brown hair.

Scioto County detectives had been working on the case since Sunday evening. Information gathered from citizens and other law enforcement agencies helped detectives contact possible family members. A dental records check at the Hamilton County Forensics Center confirmed the identity early Thursday morning.

Sheriff Donini is asking for continued public assistance in solving this crime.

Anyone with information concerning Alesha Frazee is asked to contact Det. Sgt. David Hall at 1-740-354-7566. All calls will be kept confidential.
