On Monday, Dawson-Bryant Middle School students paid tribute to those who fought in all during "Proud to be an American," a patriotic program. During the program, students covered all American conflicts from the American Revolutionary War all the way down to the current War Against Terrorism. Sprinkled about the program were patriotic songs, poems and oratories.

The Dawson-Bryant Middle School band provided the musical entertainment along with vocal selections from a host of students. The Boy Scouts, meanwhile, demonstrated how to properly fold and display the American flag.

The wars were presented by the following student speakers:

– Opening remarks: Justin Kelley, narrator.
