Representatives from the Ohio Department of Transportation and its consultants, Baker and Associates, will be on hand to discuss their latest findings associated with the project. The consultants have been conducting feasibility studies for replacement of the bridge that spans the Ohio River from Ironton to Russell, Ky.

The first open house will be held from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 in the Rotunda of the Ohio University Southern Campus. Then, on Wednesday, Dec. 5, a second meeting

will be held from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the Russell City Hall at 410 Ferry Street in Russell.

The purpose of these open houses is to exhibit maps and present other information associated with the two preliminary alternatives, including cultural resources issues. In addition, the meetings will provide an opportunity to gather comments from the general public and local residents about the two alternatives. The same information will be presented at both

meetings.

Public comment forms will be available for the public to provide their comments. Written or oral comments may be submitted at the meeting, but they may also be submitted by phone or mail. To register comments orally,

individuals may call the project comment line at 1-877-47BRIDGE. They may also submit written comments, sending them by Dec. 23, to: Ironton-Russell Bridge Replacement Project, c/o Baker & Associates, P.O. Box 188, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
