Schug scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds, and handed out eight assists to lead the Redmen.

Isaac Kitchen had 18 points to back Schug’s efforts.

"Dave’s starting to come back from his surgery. I can see improvement from him every day," Rock Hill coach Marty Mills said.

"Kitchen and McDonie played pretty well all the way around. Schug led us, but the other kids made some nice cuts and did a nice job finishing plays. Isaac played well and defensively he defended Dressel and he’s a nice player."

Bill Dressel led the Flyers with a solid all-around game as he scored 15 points pulled down five rebounds, and dished out three assists. Joe Laber had a big game with 14 points and six rebounds.

Schug scored 10 points the first quarter as Rock Hill took an 18-14 lead. Laber had seven points and Dressel five to keep the Flyers close.

McDonie had six points including a 3-pointer the second quarter as the Redmen extended their lead to 33-24. Dressel had four more points and Chris Laber got all four of his points for the Flyers.

St. Joe went cold the third quarter with just seven points. Kitchen had eight points including two 3-pointers while Schug added six points as Rock Hill built a 48-31 lead.

"We’re getting better each week. Coach (Adam) Simpson does a nice job . We talked about transition and getting easy buckets and that was the difference. We blocked out and got down the floor," said Mills.

Kitchen scored five points and Robbie McClellan, Gabe Ruggles, and Roger Joseph scored four each as Rock Hill outscored the Flyers 17-13 the final quarter.

In the reserve game, Rock Hill won 63-23 as Zach Mullins scored 18, Derrick Martin 12, and Jeremy Fuhr 11. Matt Hornbeck led the Flyers with a game-high 21.
