"Help Me Grow" is a home-based program that will help families find the support services they need while offering information about child development. The program will provide prenatal services, newborn home visits from a registered nurse, family support and service coordination for eligible families.

The program is designed to ensure that all children are healthy and that they receive early screening for delays and disabilities.

Children who are found to have delays or disabilities are offered additional services – including speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy – at no charge to parents.

Thee program operates out of the childhood center. It is a program of the Appalachian Family and Children First Council and is funded by the Ohio Department of Health.

Yesterday’s kick-off event allowed parents the chance to ask questions about the programs offered and gave children a chance to visit with Santa Claus and receive treats at several information kiosks set up at the center.
