Several Ironton Junior High students get a laugh at Santa Claus (Matthew Jones) as he falls on his can while trying the limbo during a dress rehearsal for IJHS’s upcoming Christmas play "Surfin’ Santa". All goes wrong at the North Pole when Santa takes advantage of a sweepstakes he’s won for a vacation to Paradise Island. Little does he know, however that it is only part of a sinister plan by the sneaky Mr. Grimley (Travis Wagner) to overtake the toy shop. The cast of 65 students will be performing for the public Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. There will be two additional performances for the district’s elementary students Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 18 and 19 at 9:30 a.m.
