CHESAPEAKE – Everybody got into the act.

Every player scored as the Chesapeake Lady Panthers beat the Coal Grove Lady Hornets 60-23 Monday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

"It was a total team effort and everyone played team ball," Lady Panthers coach Chad Belville said.

Chesapeake had an amazing 29 assists to go along with 22 steals. Lisa Perry had 10 points and 10 assists while Erin Sutphin had seven assists.

Brittany Boyle added 10 points off the bench

"We did a really good job of getting the ball out and running our fastbreak. Every girl on the team was looking to make that extra pass. It was kind of contagious," Belville said.

Chesapeake (14-4, 5-1 OVC) raced to a 16-2 first quarter lead and never looked back. The lead was 29-6 at the half.

Eight different players scored the third quarter as Chesapeake extended it lead to 43-18.

Cassie Ball scored 11 points to lead the Lady Hornets (3-14, 0-5).

On Thursday, Chesapeake hosts South Point while Coal Grove visits Rock Hill in league games.
