Zach Murphy is at it again. A national finalist last year, Murphy recently won the Elks South Central Hoop Shoot free throw contest in New Lexington on Sunday, Jan. 13. Murphy competed in the 12-13 age group and hit 24 of 25 shots. A sixth grade student at Coal Grove Middle School, Murphy will be competing in the Ohio state competition on Feb. 9 at the Ohio State University. Zach is the son of Jamie and Marty Murphy of Coal Grove.
