Susan Beaver, adult services librarian, said the baskets are a part of the library’s adult programming. The event will be presented at all five library locations throughout the month, Beaver said.

She added that the required materials are provided but because of limited registration, those interested in participating should call or visit the library to register as soon as possible.

The craft program will be held at the Chesapeake branch on March 12; at the Main branch in Ironton on March 14; at the Southern branch in South Point on March 18; at the Northern branch in Willow Wood on March 25; and at the Eastern branch in Proctorville on March 26. All of the programs start at 6:30 p.m., except at the Northern branch, which will be held at 6 p.m.

Patrons can visit the library’s web site at www.briggslibrary.com for telephone numbers for each of the branches. The library will also celebrate its 109th birthday on March 17. To celebrate, the library will offer hot cider and cookies at the Southern, Chesapeake, Eastern and Northern branches on March 16 and at the Main branch on Sunday.
