SCOTTOWN – A 31-year-old man died in the University of Cincinnati Medical Center burn unit due to injuries sustained in an accidental fire Tuesday night.
According to a spokesman for the burn unit, Keith Rose of State Route 217, Scottown, died Wednesday morning after sustaining burns to between 70 and 80 percent of his body.
As of presstime, the cause of the fire was undetermined and the case remained under investigation, said Sally Wagner, the public information officer for the state fire marshal’s office in Reynoldsburg.
Rose was initially taken to a Huntington hospital and later flown by helicopter to the Cincinnati hospital.
