November 23, 1907-May 11, 2002 – SPRINGFIELD-- Jessie Frances Cremeens, 94, of Springfield, died Saturday in the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born November 23, 1907 in Lawrence County, the daughter of William Sherman and Blanche Mae (Norman) Rodgers. Mrs. Cremeens lived most of her life near Waterloo, where she was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She moved to Springfield in 1971 following the death of her husband of 45 years, Louie Francis Cremeens. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Louie "Brant" and Velma Cremeens, William F. and Donna Cremeens, all of Springfield; one daughter and son-in-law: Juanita C. and Terry Kimble of Fairborn; four brothers: Bob Rodgers of Sidney, Richard Rodgers of Springfield, Ralph Rodgers of London and Kenneth Rodgers of Waverly; one sister, Dora World of Wyoming; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Evelyn Wight; four brothers: Roscoe, Lloyd, Paul, and Bill Rodgers. Visitation will be at Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home in Springfield Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Home, officiated by Father Tim Cremeens and Daryl Bowman. Committal services will be at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
