A South Point man was arrested Friday for allegedly violating a protective order issued for his wife.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies say Matthew Bradshaw, 28, of 110 B Ashland Dr., allegedly took Sheree Eplion’s car while it was parked at the Early Childhood Center in South Point.
Deputy Wesley Collins said Bradshaw was out of jail on bail in connection with an earlier domestic violence incident.
A Huntington woman was charged with theft Saturday after an incident at the Wal-Mart store in Burlington.
Marsha Morgan, 45, 1209 Seventh St., was charged with theft. Store security associate Renau Lucas told authorities she observed Morgan put items into her purse and then leave the store without paying for them.
Sheriff’s deputies recovered 22 pieces of jewelry from Morgan’s handbag but found no receipt showing she had purchased the items.
Morgan told authorities she bought the jewelry at a pawn shop and didn’t get a receipt because she paid cash for them. Jeremy Schneider/The Ironton Tribune
