March 28, 1941- June 10, 2002Ronald Dean Wilson 61, of Ironton, went to be with The Lord at 2 p.m. Monday. He died at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

He was born March 28, 1941 in Lawrence County, the son of Madison Wilson of Coal Grove and the late Mary Lou Wilson.

He was retired from Ironton Iron, Inc., and was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent and formerly taught the men’s adult Bible class. He also was a former little league coach and volunteer fireman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Wilson.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Deanna Clay Wilson, of Ironton, whom he married Nov. 26, 1960; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Steven and Amy Wilson, of Greenup, Ky., Marty Dean and Marie Wilson of Ironton; two grandsons, Ethan Dean Wilson and Brandon Mark Wilson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert L. and Bonnie Wilson of Coal Grove and Daniel R. and Linda Wilson of Deering.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Community Missionary Baptist Church in Deering with the Revs. David Saunders and Bob Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church Friday.
