CHESHIRE -- It's the three R's of football for River Valley: Raiders run repeatedly.

River Valley ran the ball 52 times for 318 yards as the Raiders beat the South Point Pointers 34-7 Friday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Allan Brown led the way with 139 yards on 13 carries. Jessie Ward aid a balanced ground game with 66 yards on 10 carries, Adam Darst added 42 yards on 10 tries and Charlie Nibert had 25 on four rushes.

Quarterback Joey Graham, who ran for 16 yards and two touchdowns, completed 2 of 5 passes for 51 yards.

Sophomore Justin Workman ran 18 times for 98 yards to lead the Pointers who gained 120 of their 130 yards on the ground.

The Raiders (4-5, 2-2) opened the scoring with a 1-yard run by Graham. The drive was kept alive on a fourth-and-2 play at the 10-yard line as Graham, appearing to be tackled for a loss, pitched to Ward who ran 9 yards for a first-and-goal.

Graham scored on the next play for a 6-0 lead.

After a three-and-out by the Pointers, Graham had his second 1-yard scoring run early in the second quarter. Graham passed to RaySean Allen for the conversion and a 14-0 lead.

A fourth-and-12 play gave the Raiders new life on the drive as Graham hit Allen with a 29-yard pass to the Pointers 5-yard line.

Another South Point punt set up River Valley's third score of the half, this time on a 31-yard burst by Brown and it was 21-0.

South Point got on the scoreboard with just 20 seconds on the clock as quarterback Tommy Hayner hit Patrick McCleary with a 10-yard pass.

But River Valley answered with a 64-yard scoring drive to begin the second half capped by Ward's 6-yard run.

The Raiders got their final touchdown with 11:27 to play when Allan Brown went 60 yards on a draw play.

Next Friday, South Point (2-7, 1-3) closes out the regular season at Coal Grove while River Valley hosts Fairland in a pair of league games.
