The Play by Play Sports Bar and Grill in downtown Ironton remains open, pending the outcome of its appeal of a decision by the state to revoke it liquor permit. Attorneys for the establishment filed the appeal in Franklin County Common Pleas Court, which hears cases involving the Ohio Liquor Control Commission. A spokeswoman for the court said a hearing on the issue has not yet been set.

The liquor control commission announced last week it had revoked the bar's liquor license after three criminal violations.

Bartender and part-owner Chris Rudman, was convicted of selling crack cocaine in the bar Jan. 23.
