Rock Hill Board of Education chooses officers for new year

At its annual organizational meeting, the Rock Hill Board of Education last night re elected Jackie Harris as its president.

Harris received three votes for president, Wanda Jenkins two. Jenkins was elected the board's

vice-president. Both women were sworn in at what may have been one of the shortest meetings in Rock Hill school board history: the meeting lasted approximately 35 minutes. The board also agreed to make board member Troy Hardy its legislative liaison.

In other matters, the board approved a four year contract with board treasurer Chris Robinson. Robinson will receive an annual salary of $51,980.
