Ironton police are looking into a reported armed robbery/assault of a man and his girlfriend.

According to reports, police received a call Thursday from a man who lives in the 1000 block of South Fifth Street, who reported two men broke into his home, knocked him over the head with a gun, abused him and his girlfriend and took their money.

According to Capt. Chris Bowman,

detective of the Ironton Police Department, the victims did not name any suspects, and the police department is investigating the case.
