The Ironton Police Department and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office are investigating reports of misconduct involving two adult males and an 11-year-old girl.
Ironton Police detective, Capt. Chris Bowman, said David Blevins, 18, and Andrew Pate, 19, both of Ironton, have been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and with obstructing official business, but Bowman said other charges could be levied later.
The mother of the 11-year-old girl came to the police station Friday night to report her daughter missing. The woman said she was supposed to pick up her daughter and a friend at Sparetime, but when she arrived at 11 p.m. the child was not there. The mother later reported that she believed her daughter was with a 19-year-old man at the Lawrence Street Apartments.
"We tried to locate them," Bowman said. "But each time she and the two suspects eluded us."
The child and the two men were allegedly found at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the home of an acquaintance on Lawrence Street.
"They were apprehended after a short foot pursuit," Bowman said. "The matter remains under investigation."
