A 17-year-old girl was injured in an automobile accident on her way to school this morning. Nada E. Brooks of Pedro, a junior at Rock Hill High School, was southbound on State Route 93 approximately 13.5 miles north of Ironton at 7:25 a.m. Her 1995-1999 Dodge Neon then went off the right side of the roadway and struck a driveway culvert, Trooper R.S. Boggs of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Brooks complained of neck and back injuries, Boggs said. She was transported to King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

The accident is still under investigation.
