Flapjacks will be flying in Ironton Saturday.

The annual Ironton Rotary Pancake Day will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the AEP (Ohio Power) office at 525 S. Third St.

During the event, which serves as the club's largest fund-raiser, Ironton Rotarians will be serving stacks of pancakes, sausage, coffee and milk. Cost for the meal is $3.50, and proceeds will go toward the Rotary's charitable work.

Rod DePriest, president of the Ironton Rotary Club, said the long-standing event is not only a time for good food, but also a time to socialize.

"A lot of people use it as a get-together and a time to renew old acquaintances," DePriest said. "We invite everyone to come out."

Tickets will be available at the door, or can be purchased from club members. Take-out orders will also be available.
