LANSING, Mich.

-- Michigan House Speaker Rick Johnson made good Tuesday on his bet over November's Michigan-Ohio State game and recited Ohio State's alma mater in House chambers.

Johnson, R-LeRoy, and Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder bet on the game. No. 2 Ohio State beat No. 12 Michigan 14-9.

Householder would have had to sing Michigan's alma mater ''The Yellow and Blue'' in his chamber if the Wolverines won.

Johnson called the loss unfortunate, but said he was glad to see a Big 10 team go on to win the national championship.

Johnson recited the Ohio State alma mater instead of singing it because ''my wife tells me never to sing in public.''

Johnson's rendition of ''Carmen Ohio'' was videotaped and will be sent to Householder, said Emily Gerkin, spokeswoman for Johnson.
