Lawrence County Sheriff#039;s deputies catch Texas fugitive

A fugitive wanted by Texas authorities was apprehended Wednesday by Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies.

Sheriff Tim Sexton said his office was contacted by Texas officials asking that authorities here be on the lookout for a man who had stolen a motor vehicle there.

located the vehicle and the fugitive at a residence on Private Drive 268 in South Point. James D. Brown, 21, was arrested without incident. Sexton said Brown did try to hinder his apprehension by providing false information, but later admitted to his identity. The 1995 GMC Jimmy was also recovered at the residence.
