A temporary Disaster Recovery Center will open Monday at the Ironton City Center on South Third Street.

The center will serve victims of February's ice storm who seek assistance. The center will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., from Monday until Thursday. The FEMA office is on the first floor.

"As of Wednesday (March 26), we had 167 registered for individual assistance, but we're not getting too many from Lawrence County going to the recovery center in New Boston," Mootz said. "Its a convenience thing."
