Big Lots has announced the completion of its remodeling efforts in 17 Charleston/Huntington, W.Va., stores, including the Ironton store.

According to Big Lots officials, the improvements make the stores brighter and easier to navigate, and include the company's new branding efforts. Renovated stores also include a "hot new closeouts area" designed to showcase an ever-changing selection of products.

Big Lots invested more than $3 million to renovate the 17 locations, and plans to upgrade 213 in all this year.
