Annual Navy Night service scheduled for tonight

The annual Navy Night service will be this evening at 7 p.m. at the Ironton Center Street boat landing.

The service is to honor service men and women who served in the sea-going branches of the military. The Symmes Valley High School Marching Band

and the Mug and Brush Quartet will provide music for the event. Lawrence County Common Pleas Judge Richard Walton will speak. Local boy and girl scout troops will cast flowers on the water on the ohio River, and the U.S. Coast Guard will lay a wreath in the waters off the boat landing in memory of those who died in service to their country.
