Shawn Randolph has been named advertising sales manager of The Ironton Tribune.

Randolph has worked as an advertising sales representative with The Tribune for two years and has 10 years of sales and management experience.

"As a native Lawrence Countian, Shawn is dedicated to helping our advertising clients build their businesses through print media," said Tribune Publisher Kevin Cooper. "We look forward to great things from Shawn in the future."

Randolph says he hopes to continue to foster the excellent customer service The Tribune's advertising department has developed with its customer base.

"Our readership market is Lawrence County and those readers are potential customers for almost every single business in the Tri-State," Randolph said. "One of the key things our newspaper does is link our clients with our readers."

One of his early goals is to help coordinate the staff to see more clients and improve the customer service.

"We have a really excellent staff here," he said.

Randolph said he and The Tribune's staff share a common goal of making The Tribune the most successful it can be and serving its clients, Randolph said.

Another advantage, Cooper said, is his experience.

"He brings much to the table in terms of his knowledge, enthusiasm and concern for our clients and the welfare of our area's economy," Cooper said.

Randolph agrees.

"I know the area, I know the businesses and I know the newspaper," Randolph said. "It's a big advantage to know the market."

Randolph is a 1986 graduate of Chesapeake High School and currently resides in Proctorville. Randolph earned a bachelor's of business administration from Marshall University, graduating in 1990. He and his wife, Kari, have three children: Austin, 9, Bryce, 4, and Chelcie, 1.
