Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility will enact daytime closures of State Route 141 next week in conjunction with a slip repair project.

According to Cecil Townsend, transportation administrator, the route will be closed at approximately the two-mile marker north of Ironton near

Hecla, Monday, June 16 through Thursday, June 19 so crews can repair the damaged roadway and shoulder.

The closure is scheduled to be in effect during daytime, working hours only, from approximately 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. During the periods of closure, traffic will be detoured via U.S. Route 52 at Ironton to State Route 93 to County Road 7C (Hecla Road).
