PROCTORVILLE-

In conjunction with the state Route 7 widening project in Proctorville, lane restrictions are scheduled to be in effect next week while contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation continue with the construction of a temporary roadway.

Motorists are cautioned of periods of delay that will occur when crews impose lane restrictions within the project zone between state routes 607 and 243.

Currently, crews from TAB Construction are scheduled to be paving the temporary road on Wednesday and Thursday, June 25 and 26, from approximately 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

While crews are working in the project zone throughout both days, flaggers will maintain one lane of two-way traffic; however, motorists are advised of traffic delays, especially during peak travel times and between Irene Road East and state Route 243.

In addition, the traveling public is advised that start and completion of this project is contingent upon the weather.

The $4.46 million widening project includes the addition of a center, left-turn lane and the installation of a new storm system, curb, gutter, sidewalk and traffic control devices for the widening of 1.33 miles of State Route 7.
