GEORGETOWN, Ky. (AP) - Cincinnati Bengals running back Corey Dillon was the only player under contract that failed to report to the team's opening day of training camp Sunday.

''We haven't heard from him,'' said head coach Marvin Lewis at the camp at Georgetown College. ''We hope and presume he's OK.''

Dillon didn't show up for the team's 5 p.m. meeting and he and his agent could not be immediately reached. The Bengals did not say if Dillon would be fined.

In April, Dillon also caused a stir when he skipped a voluntary minicamp to spend time with family. After promising to act differently in the future, Dillon practiced with the team in May and June.

Dillon is the team's career rushing leader and only the fourth player in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards in each of his first six seasons.

Bengals sign two picks

CINCINNATI (AP) - The Cincinnati Bengals signed cornerback Dennis Weathersby and fullback Jeremi Johnson Sunday, both fourth-round draft picks in this year's draft.

Terms of the three-year contracts weren't disclosed.

Weathersby holds Oregon State's career record for breaking up passes. He was considered a top cornerback in the NFL draft before he was the innocent victim of a drive-by shooting April 20. He was recently cleared to practice.

Johnson was a starter at Indiana before he transferred to Western Kentucky and rushed for 637 yards in his final season.

The Bengals opened training camp Sunday at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky. with seven of their nine draft picks signed.

Second-rounder Eric Steinbach, a guard from Iowa, and third-rounder Kelley Washington, a wide receiver from Tennessee, have not signed.
