A house near the intersection of Fourth and Pleasant streets is being called a total loss after a fire that began Tuesday night.

According to information from the Ironton Fire Department, the department was dispatched at 10:53 p.m. to the fire at 413 Pleasant Street.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

No firefighters were injured fighting the fire, but the house was declared a total loss. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefighters did not have the owner's name available.
