Waterford passing game proves too much for Bobcats

WATERFORD -- Travis Barth scored three touchdowns off passes from both sides of the ball as the Waterford Eagles blanked the Green Bobcats 27-0 Friday.

Barth caught two touchdown passes and also returned an interception for a score.

Jarrod Branham hit Barth with a 19-yard scoring pass in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead. The duo hooked up again with 8:07 left in the half, and it was 13-0.

Barth returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown, and Matt Schaad's conversion run made it 21-0 at the half.

Waterford (1-2) capped the scoring on a 3-yard run by Jason Sampson as time ran out in the third quarter.

Green (0-3) had 106 total yards, 74 on the ground.
