Ironton man charged in church burglary

An Ironton man has been charged with a weekend church burglary.

Michael Patrick, 36, whose address according to Lawrence County Jail records as 3018 South Sixth Street, Ironton was arrested and charged with breaking and entering Monday by the Ironton Police Department.

Ironton police detective Jim Akers said Sharon Baptist Church at 2010 South Fifth Street was broken into late Saturday night through a window. A karoke machine, a computer, a television set and two turkeys were stolen.

Police later received information that Patrick was the one responsible, Akers said, and he was later arrested along Vine Street. All property was recovered and returned to the church.
