Ironton teen to compete for Miss Ohio USA

Elizabeth A. Igo, 19, of Ironton will compete for the title of Miss Ohio USA this weekend.

The pageant will be at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth.

Elizabeth is a 2002 honor graduate of Ironton High School. She was involved with the Key Club, German Club, German Honorary, National Honor Society and Who's Who Among American High School Students. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Igo. She plans to be an elementary school teacher.

The preliminary pageant begins today at 8 p.m. and Miss Ohio USA will be crowned the following night in the final show at 8 p.m. Miss Ohio USA will then compete for the coveted title of Miss USA in the spring.
