Chapman, of Flatwoods, Ky., set the Ashland (Ky.) Bowling Association record Oct. 22 at Spare Time Recreation in Ironton.

The series total was a record for the greater Ironton/Ashland area. The Ashland Bowling Association consists of Spare Time, Blue Ribbon Lanes and Paradise Lanes in Ashland, and Grayson Lanes in Grayson, Ky.

Chapman rolled off consecutive games of 278, 298 and 279 for his 855 score.
