Pritt triggers Dragons win over Pioneers

PROCTORVILLE - Pritt was it.

Jeremy Pritt scored 10 of his points in the fourth quarter as the Fairland Dragons beat the Wayne (W.Va.) Pioneers 48-41 Tuesday.

Pritt scored 18 points and had four rebounds as Fairland evened its record at 1-1. Matt Clark scored 12 points and had five rebounds.

Wayne was led by Nick Newell with 17 points and Kyle Wellman added 10.

The Pioneers went ahead 10-5 after the first quarter before Fairland rallied to tie the game 13-13 at the half.

Fairland took the lead in the third quarter as Clark scored six points to make it 27-23. Newell scored six of Wayne's 10 points in the third quarter.

The Dragons hit 63 percent of their shots in the fourth quarter and Pritt got 10 points to offset eight points by Wellman.

Fairland travels to Ironton St. Joseph Friday.

In the reserve game, Fairland won 30-27.
