New Boston jumped out to an 8-0 lead as Jessica Waugh scored seven of the points. From that point on, Green outscored New Boston 19-7 as Jessica Dyer and Meagan Pierce had six each.

"Once Waugh got seven straight points I think we woke up and started playing ball," Green coach Melissa Knapp said.

Meagan Pierce and Chelsey Pierce scored seven points apiece in the second quarter as Green pulled away to a 45-25 halftime lead.

The lead ballooned to 65-36 after three quarter and Green coasted the rest of the way.

Green placed five players in double figures led by Meagan Pierce with 18 points. Traci Elrod and Chelsey Pierce had 13 points each, Elista Hall scored 12 and Jessica Dyer added 11.

Waugh finished with 20 points to lead New Boston. Abby Marshall had 13 points and Brittney Bloomfield got 11.

"We had a lot of people in double figures which is what I like to see. Just about everybody scored. It was a good win for us," Knapp said.

The Lady Bobcats host Portsmouth West at 6 p.m. Monday.
