PROCTORVILLE - A quick start meant a quick finish.

The Fairland Lady Dragons raced out to a big lead early and settled the outcome quickly as they routed the New Boston Lady Tigers 54-22 Monday.

Brianna Davis scored 16 points in the first quarter and Fairland exploded for 25 points in taking a 25-7 lead.

Megan Auxier had 10 of her points in the second quarter as the Lady Dragons lead ballooned to 46-12 at the half.

Head coach Nathan Speed emptied his bench in the second half.

Davis led Fairland (3-2) with 18 points. Auxier had 12 points, Tara Riley grabbed eight rebounds and Kristen Berry six while Jodi Waugh had eight points, five assists and four steals.
