UPPER TOWNSHIP- An Ironton woman was hurt, but two other people escaped injury in a single vehicle crash on State Route 141 Monday.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Dean Hunter said Mari Sue Cochran, 20, was westbound on that roadway when her 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix went off the right side of the pavement, hit a rock and brush pile, went over an embankment and then hit a ditch line and culvert retaining wall.
She was taken by SEOEMS to King's Daughters Medical
Center in Ashland, Ky., where she was treated and released.
Two passengers in her car, Kenny Massie, 24, and a 2-year-old child, both of Ironton, were not injured.
Hunter said seat belts were in use. No citations have been issued at this time.
The accident happened just after noon Monday.
