FRANKLIN FURNACE - Everybody is getting into the act, and coach Kevin Lewis can't be happier.

Getting a complete team effort, the Green Bobcats routed the Beaver Eastern Eagles 81-51 Tuesday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

"We played by far and away our best game. It was the first time we put 32 minutes together," Lewis said.

"We had good intensity and I was happy to see the balance in our scoring. We had a lot of people contribute in ways that don't show up in the scoring column."

Aaron Patten poured in 25 points and Timmy Yarnell had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bobcats, 3-5 and 2-1 in the SOC.

Brian Ramey had 16 points and six rebounds in the winning effort while Derek Lewis had seven points and seven assists, Kenny Elrod eight points and seven rebounds, and Ryan Klaiber seven rebounds.

"It was the same things as the West game. We're starting to get balance with our scoring and rebounding," Lewis said.

Zach Alexander had 16 points for Eastern which made eight 3-pointers the first half to stay close. Timmy Hattle and Adam Higginbotham scored 13 apiece.

Patten got 10 points in the first quarter and Ramey seven as Green went up 19-15. Higginbotham had seven and Hattle six for Eastern.

In the second quarter, Patten got seven more and Yarnell five, but Higginbotham and Hattle had six each for the Eagles, who climbed to within 34-32 at the break.

Green came out strong in the third quarter as Yarnell scored eight points to extend the lead to 54-44. Alexander had all 12 of the Eagles points in the quarter.

Yarnell and Elrod scored six each while the defense limited the Eagles to seven points in the fourth quarter as Green won going away.
