PEDRO - Like an over inflated tire, the Rock Hill Redmen can apply plenty of pressure.

The Rock Hill Redmen continued to turn up the defensive pressure as they rolled past the Fairland Dragons 53-31 Friday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

"Our pressure in the halfcourt got to them and wore them down," Redmen coach Marty Mills said. "We had our hands on the ball a lot."

Rock Hill, now 8-3, remains atop the OVC with a 4-0 record. Fairland dips to 4-7 and 1-3.

K.C. Christian scored 18 points to lead the Redmen. Matt Clark had 11 points to pace Fairland.

"Christian played pretty well. Roger Joseph had a good floor game, and T.J. Blagg is such a pest. He's all over the floor," Mills said. "Brian Skaggs came in and gave us some good minutes, and Donald Cade made some things happen defensively. All of our guys are doing something good for us."

Christian scored five points in the first quarter and the defense limited Fairland to only two points for a 14-2 lead.

Clark scored six points in the second quarter and Fairland's defense took over by holding the Redmen to five points. Rock Hill led just 19-13 at the break.

"We played well defensively, but we struggled on offense at time. We seem to have problems when we get a double digit lead," Mills said.

Rickie McDonie had all six of his points in the third quarter to trigger a 24-point outburst as Rock Hill opened up a 43-20 cushion.

Christian had eight more points in the fourth quarter to foil any Fairland comeback hopes.

In the reserve game, Fairland won 43-40 as Kyle Wise and Travis Caldwell scored nine points each. Nick Snavely scored 22 for Rock Hill.
