PROCTORVILLE - In the showdown for the Ohio Valley Conference lead, the South Point Lady Pointers held the smoking gun.

South Point got past the Fairland Lady Dragons 66-59 in overtime Saturday to take over sole possession of first place.

"It was a big win and there was a big crowd. The girls have hung in there and gotten better all year. We're taking care of the ball, making better decisions, and we're playing better defense," Lady Pointers coach Dave Adams said.
