PROCTORVILLE - When the Fairland Lady Dragons take off, they like to hit high altitudes.

Fairland scored nine runs in the late innings to blow open a close game and beat the Chesapeake Lady Panthers 12-3 Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

"They made some mistakes and we just took off from there," Fairland coach Leroy Baise said.
