SOUTH WEBSTER - At first, the Green Bobcats yawned. Then they woke up.

Coming off a key Southern Ohio Conference win at Symmes Valley on Monday, Green exhibited lackluster play early before rebounding to beat the South Webster Jeeps 11-4 Tuesday.

"We came out a little flat after our win (Monday) night, but we were able to take advantage of their mistakes," Green coach Dave Shoupe said. "John Dawson had a solid performance on the mound for us tonight."

Green banged out nine hits with Ryan Bloomfield going 2-4 with a run batted in. Odie Kelly was 2-4 with two RBI and Travis Klaiber also went 2-4.

South Webster led 3-2 until the fifth inning when Green scored twice to tie the game at 4-4. The Bobcats erupted for five runs in the fifth inning and added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh inning.

Green, 5-2, plays an SOC game Wednesday at New Boston.
