"We got a win and we were able to get everyone in the game. We haven't been able to do that because we've been in so many close games. Everyone seems to play us tough," Fairland coach Leroy Baise said.

Fairland is now 10-5 overall and 6-2 in the OVC. The Lady Dragons visit Gallipolis Thursday and Rock Hill Friday in a key league game.

Mandy Clark got the win with relief help from Megan Fisher and Taylor Lundy.

The Lady Dragons had 15 hits with Fisher and Lundy going 2-3, Kelly Curry 3-5, Allison Hager 2-2, and Kate Nida and Kristen Clausing 2-4.

Fairland got single runs in the first three innings to lead 3-1, then scored four times in the fourth to lead 7-1.

In the fourth, Ashley Ward walked, Clark singled and Fisher walked to load the bases. Ward scored on a passed ball, a fielder's choice sent Clark home, and Clausing hit a sacrifice fly.

Curry then singled, went to third base on two passed balls and came home when Lundy singled to cap the rally.

The Lady Dragons got a run in the fifth to lead 8-2, then put the game away with two in the sixth.

Clausing started the sixth with a single and Kristen Berry went in as the pinch-runner. Curry singled and Lundy had a two-run double. Nida tripled to score Curry with the final run.
