Worry about today and forget about tomorrow until it becomes today.

In other words, take care of business now.

That was the theme issued by Ironton coach Mark Lewis after the Fighting Tigers fell 5-2 to the Greenup County Musketeers Friday.

"You've got to be ready to play everyday. You can't get too high or too low," Ironton coach Mark Lewis said. "We were flat after the Wheelersburg

loss and we weren't ready

to bounce back."

Greenup ace Jesse Kegley got the win as he struck out 10, walked three and allowed seven hits, four of them being infield hits.

Greg Linn took the loss, but Lewis was pleased with the effort of reliever Nick Collins who worked 3.1 innings. He gave up two runs, both unearned.

"One of the positive things we came away with was Nick's performance," Lewis said of Collins who has been out with tendinitis in his shoulder.

After three scoreless innings, Greenup County (11-8) went up 3-0 in the fourth.

Kegley walked, Derrick Latimer singled and Brad Gilliam put down a sacrifice bunt. Joey Uhl grounded out as a run scored and Chris Kouns had an a RBI single. The final run scored on a wild pitch.

Two more unearned runs scored in the sixth.

Uhl was safe on catcher's interference and Kouns singled. A couple of passed balls scored the runners.

Ironton (8-7) got its runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Adam Ferguson walked to start the inning and Brigham Waginger was safe on a bunt single. The play at first resulted in a throwing error and the runners went to second and third. Kevin Williams had a two-out base hit to score one run, and a wild pitch sent home the final run.
